Choices, climbing the second mountain & leading a high-quality life while taking a part in the infinite game called life.

The Choice

‘No one can take away from you what you put in your mind’

Those were the parting words of Dr.Edith Eger’s mother, which gave her the strength to survive Auschwitz. Dr.Eger at 90 years old, published the book ‘The Choice’ as a useful guide to remind people that you always have a choice in life.

“I would love to help you discover how to escape the concentration camp of your own mind, and become the person you were meant to be. I would love to help you experience freedom from the past, freedom from failures and fears, freedom from anger and mistakes, freedom from regret and unresolved grief and the freedom to enjoy the full rich feast of life!”

-Dr.Edith Eger

Infinite Game

“We are players in infinite games whether we like it or not. There’s no such thing as winning in your marriage, there’s no such thing as winning your career or business or life. There is no such thing as winning at parenting. Because these are all infinite games without a finish line.”

These are the words of Simon Sinek. Check out his new book ‘infinite games’ if you are a follower of his work. Those of us who have followed his work throughout the years can easily identify his philosophy and what he stands for. That’s because he is very clear on his values, his vision and the world he wants to build. He believes in building a bright future together. His cause is very clear and it’s easy to follow. Views from this unshakable optimist will change the way you see the world.

The Second Mountain

We spend 12-13 years in school and graduate, some of us carry on with more degrees and most of us get into work with only one intention, make more money. This ‘climbing of the first mountain’ is the target of almost everyone. What happens when you get to the top of it? Or if things don`t go according to plan?

The second mountain is an excellent book on going beyond serving oneself to making commitments to a vocation (that brings you joy), family, community, and philosophy or faith.

“A good life is one that has meaning, value and purpose for something beyond yourself. It’s not just the next pair of shoes, or the next square footage or things you own”
