DroidWall is a must have system utility application for all Android root users. This app is mainly a front-end application to manage Linux firewall for the powerful IP tables.
It allows you to restrict which application are permitted to access your data networks, such as 2G, 3G or Wi-Fi.
?This is the perfect solution for battery drain problems or control usage for those who doesn’t have any unlimited data plan.

Requirements:

3. After Installing and opening the app, you must grant SuperUser permession.

As a user, you can choose between two different modes:

  • White List – Select the apps from the list In which selected applications will be allowed to use internet or data network access.
  • Black List – Select the apps from the list In which selected applications will be denied (not allowed) to use internet or data network access.

?

3. You can also select what connection type you want to block or allow, be it Wi-Fi or the one provided by your wireless carrier. So if you want to grant only Wi-Fi access to apps that consume large amounts of data, you can grant. if you want to grant only Mobile data(4G/3G/2G) access to apps that consume insufficient amounts of data, you can grant.

?
4. Now go to menu and enable firewall just by selecting that option and again ‘Apply rules’ option.

5. Under “More” there are also options to enable logs, set a password for DroidWall, and if you’re a more advanced user, set custom scripts. If you know a thing or two about IP tables, you can use those custom scripts to block access to certain IP addresses, set rules involving HTTP, HTTPS, SSH, and much more.
