Co-interior angles – It can be defined as the pair of non-adjacent interior angles which always lies on the same side of the transversal. They are also called supplementary angles as the sum of co interior angles is also equal to 180 degrees that are the same as that of supplementary angles.

Alternate interior angles – when two parallel lines get intersected by a third transverse line then the angle formed is defined as alternate interior angles.

Sum of interior angles: There are thousands of shapes that can be formed and most of the shapes consist of a vertex in them and a vertex always have an interior and exterior angle. There is a theorem called as angle sum theorem according to which the sum of all the interior angles of a triangle is equal to 180 degrees. Subtract two from the number of sides of the given polygon and multiply it with 180 degrees, this gives us the correct sum of the interior angles of a polygon.
