How to Enable Android Device Manager?

There are two things you should know about this Android Device Manager or native mobile tracking system. The Android Device Manager is available for Android 2.3 and all the upper versions. Some mobile manufacturers include this app (Or, feature or option) and some do not. If your mobile doesn’t have this feature, you can download the app from Google Play Store.

Do this before losing your phone:

On your phone go to settings > security > Device administrator and tap on it and activate Android device manager.

How to use an Android device manager to find lost device:
1. Go to Google Play Store in PC.
2. You can find gear icon (setting icon) at Top-Right corner.


3. Click on that gear icon (setting icon) and then you can find three options My Order, Settings and Android device manager. Just click on Android device manager.


4. As soon as you click on android device manager it will find the device, but based on your speed of your Internet connection and location of your device it takes some time. (if it asked to sign in to your Google account, then should sign in).


5. As soon as Android device manager finds your device it will show you on Google maps. It will also indicate how far your distance from you is.


There you can find 3 Options:
Ring: If you click on Ring then your device mobile or tab will ring though it is in silent mode. This feature doesn’t work when device is switched off.


Lock: If you click on Lock then it will lock your device and you can get new password to access your device.


Erase: If you click on Erase then the total memory in that device will be erased automatically. Make sure once you click erase, then all the data will be deleted, including android device manager so it won’t work again.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Android Device Manager
