Susan Foxley has been teaching yoga/meditation, practicing therapeutic bodywork and life coaching for over two decades in both San Francisco and Santa Monica.
When teaching, Susan incorporates Ashtanga, Iyengar and Desikachar methods into a package that both challenges and respects the individual’s personal needs. Susan has studied both in India and the United States with her teacher Pattabhi Jois,, and has studied with many other masters along her journey.
In the beginning of Susan’s teaching career, vinyasa yoga was emphasized and encouraged. Now that Susan has attracted students from eight to eighty years of age, she tends to teach the individual to their specific level of expertise and stage in life.
While teaching yoga, Susan uses intuition, kindness and compassion for an unforgettable experience. Her style encourages looking for the positive aspects of each pose, while maintaining a sense of playfulness and depth with each breath. Her mantra is,“what you focus on magnifies”. So affirmations are infused repeatedly throughout the practice, with a constant lightness of being, and an air of non-judgement allowing for students self exploration.
